Introduction
This time period was great for entertainment. The 1930s were innovative for cartoons. By the 30s, cartoons had sound and color, and in 1937, Walt Disney released the first full length cartoon. Movies became more common because filming was easier than before. People had their own television sets in their homes but they still went to the movie theaters for fun and drive in theaters became a thing. During the world war, propaganda and movies made from the war became very common and they were shown in movie theaters to promote the war effort. In 1935, the first 3D movie in color was released and in 1953, the first 3D movie with stereo sound is released. Towards the end of the time period, 1955, the theme park empire was started with the opening of Disneyland. Not only did that start the Disney theme parks, but there are a lot of other theme parks who were influenced by Disneyland, for example, Universal. Now people could choose to go on a vacation to a "high tech" theme park, instead of going to a park with rides but less attention to detail. The theme park industry really changed entertainment and it included many forms of it in the theme parks, for example: a show or a play.

This is an ad in the newspaper for the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is significant to the history of entertainment because it was the very first full length motion picture cartoon in history. It was released in 1937 and it won an oscar and 7 "dwarf" oscars along with it. Because of this movie, a lot of other cartoon movies came after it. This ad was written sometime before the premiere.

Pictures
This picture is of a group of people who are all watching a 3D movie. 3D technology is believed to have been invented in 1922. In 1935, the first 3D movie with color was released and in 1953, the first 3D movie with stereo sound was released. Back then, the 3D technology wasn't as advanced as it is now. Back then, they had the blue and red colored glasses which have an affect, but it's not nearly as innovative as it is now. It started the trend for 3D, and that allowed people to advance on the science.

Video
This video is of the entire abc news coverage of Disneyland opening day in 1955. It is very long, about an hour or so, but it is very important for the history of entertainment. This is the very first park that Walt Disney opened and it started a very long chain of parks all across the world. It also inspired competitor parks like universal. Although this opening day did not go as planned for many many reasons, the park became a huge success. Even though it was overcrowded due to counterfeit tickets, there were plumbing issues, not all of the cement was fully dry, it was extremely hot out, and there was even a gas leak, it is still great that it opened (I don't want to go too far in depth of the opening day problems but I put a link in the citations that explains more). It was ahead of its time and it was very important, innovative, and unique to the field of entertainment.
